This market will resolve to the lower price in the title if Ethereum’s price dips to that level or below before it hits the higher title price between the creation of this market and December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. It will resolve to the higher price in the title if Ethereum’s price first reaches that level or above before it dips to the lower title price during the same period. If neither price level is reached within the market timeframe, the market will resolve 50–50. The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT "High" and "Low" prices currently available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT with “1m” and “Candles” selected on the top bar. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other sources or spot markets.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Event group name references Bitcoin ($70k/$90k) but all source market data concerns Ethereum ($1,000/$3,000). This is a fundamental data integrity failure that makes the audit impossible to complete accurately.Hero tip: Stop settlement processing immediately. Request clarification: (1) Is the event group name incorrect and should read 'Will Ethereum hit $1,000 or $3,000 first?' or (2) Are the market definitions incorrect and should reference Bitcoin price levels? Do not resolve markets until this mismatch is resolved.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Market asks 'Will Ethereum hit $1,000 or $3,000 first?' with Binance ETH/USDT as resolution source. Resolves to lower price if hit first, higher price if hit first, or 50-50 if neither reached by Dec 31, 2026 11:59 PM ET. Key quote: 'This market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other sources or spot markets.'
  • Predict: Event asks 'Will Ethereum hit $1,000 or $3,000 first?' with identical Binance ETH/USDT resolution logic. Resolves to lower price if hit first, higher price if hit first, or 50-50 if neither reached by Dec 31, 2026 11:59 PM ET. Key quote: 'This market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other sources or spot markets.'

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard aggregates real-time odds and trading volume for this event across Polymarket and Predict, two leading prediction market platforms. It displays the consensus probability that Ethereum reaches $1,000 before $3,000, updated continuously as traders place new bets. You can monitor total group volume of $472,743 and recent 24-hour activity of $39,281 to gauge market interest and liquidity. This cross-platform view helps you understand whether the market leans toward a near-term dip or sustained upside momentum for Ethereum.

Prediction market odds reflect trader conviction about Ethereum's price path over the next several years, independent of current spot price. If markets assign high probability to $1,000 first, it signals expectations of near-term weakness or consolidation before a rally to $3,000. Conversely, low odds on $1,000 suggest traders expect Ethereum to climb directly toward $3,000 without revisiting lower levels. These odds often diverge from simple technical analysis because they embed longer-term macro views, regulatory sentiment, and adoption catalysts that spot prices may not immediately reflect.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which can create temporary price gaps. Polymarket may show 29.5% while Predict shows 29.0%, a spread of 0.5 percentage points. Differences arise from varying order-book depth, geographic user bases, and timing of large trades. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these gaps, but until they do, the platforms may reflect slightly different market sentiment. Monitoring both helps you identify which view has stronger conviction and where value may lie.

This market resolves on Jan 1, 2027. The outcome is determined by which price level Ethereum reaches first during the market's lifetime. Traders who correctly predicted the sequence of price milestones receive payouts proportional to their position size and the odds at which they traded. Early resolution is possible if either threshold is hit before the end date, triggering immediate settlement. Until one of these price points is confirmed, the market remains open and odds continue to shift based on new information and trading activity.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting crypto adoption, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, Bitcoin price movements, Ethereum network upgrades or security incidents, and institutional inflows or outflows. A sharp market downturn could accelerate the $1,000 scenario, while strong tech adoption or positive policy news could push Ethereum directly toward $3,000. Staking yield changes, competing layer-2 solutions, and broader DeFi ecosystem developments also influence sentiment. Monitoring on-chain metrics, developer activity, and geopolitical factors helps traders anticipate which price level Ethereum reaches first.
