Divergence Detected

Issue: Outcome Scope Mismatch - Kalshi market resolves Yes for any match conclusion while Polymarket uses three separate binary marketsHero tip: Avoid Kalshi if you want to bet specifically on a win/draw outcome, as it will resolve Yes regardless of actual result. Use Polymarket for precise outcome betting.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Three separate binary markets for each possible outcome: Will Australia win? Will the match end in a draw? Will Bangladesh win? Resolves based on official match result with specific handling for ties and abandoned matches.
  • Kalshi: Single market that resolves Yes if Australia wins, Bangladesh wins, OR the match ends in a draw/tie. Resolves Yes for any completed match outcome.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between Australia and Bangladesh scheduled for August 21 2026 in Test Match. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

The event determines the result of a men's professional Test series cricket match between Australia and Bangladesh. If Australia wins, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. If Bangladesh wins, its market resolves to Yes. If the match ends in a draw or tie, the Draw/Tie market resolves to Yes. If the match is cancelled before commencement or abandoned before the toss with no official result, all markets resolve to a fair market price. If delayed beyond five days before starting, all markets also resolve to a fair price. If abandoned after the toss, markets resolve based on the official result declared by the governing body.
