Intro

This market tracks whether Bitcoin's spot price will drop below $55,000 at any point between early February 2026 and the end of 2026. On Kalshi, the leading outcome—Bitcoin falling below $55,000 by January 1, 2027 at 12:00am ET—currently stands at 72.0%. Resolution will be determined by the CF Bitcoin Real-Time Index. Watch for Bitcoin price movements starting February 5, 2026, when the observation window opens and the market begins tracking whether the asset reaches the $55,000 threshold before the December 31, 2026 betting period closes.

Kalshi

Resolution is based on the CF Bitcoin Real-Time Index (BRTI) using a trimmed mean calculation. The resolution value is calculated by taking all BRTI values for each minute from market issuance until the specified time on the target date, removing the top 20% and bottom 20% of values, then averaging the remaining 60%. If the BRTI crosses the threshold at any point during the measurement period, the market immediately resolves. If no data is available at expiration, the market resolves to No. Markets can resolve early if Bitcoin definitively crosses the threshold before the target date and time.

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the question of how low Bitcoin will fall by the end of 2026 on Kalshi. It displays the current probability of key price thresholds, 24-hour trading volume of $42,819, and cumulative market volume of $4,481,266. Users can monitor live odds shifts, historical price movements, and trader positioning to understand market sentiment on Bitcoin's downside risk during 2026. The dashboard updates continuously as new trades execute, providing transparency into how the prediction market is pricing Bitcoin's potential floor.

Prediction market odds on Kalshi reflect trader beliefs about Bitcoin's lowest point in 2026, which often diverge from current spot prices or analyst price targets. While spot markets react to immediate news and technical levels, prediction markets embed longer-term conviction about downside scenarios. Comparing the implied probability of a Bitcoin floor below certain levels to analyst consensus forecasts or on-chain metrics can reveal whether traders are pricing in more or less downside risk than traditional market participants expect. This gap highlights unique insights from real-money prediction markets.

On Kalshi, the top outcome is priced at 27.0% probability: Will Bitcoin be below $60,000.00 by Jan 1, 2027 at 12:00am ET? On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares reflecting their belief in whether Bitcoin will breach that threshold by the resolution date. The price of each outcome fluctuates based on order flow and new information. Higher probability reflects stronger trader conviction that Bitcoin will dip below $60,000, while lower probability suggests skepticism. Volume and bid-ask spreads on Kalshi indicate liquidity and confidence in the market's pricing.

The market resolves on Jan 1, 2027. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's lowest price point reached at any moment between now and that date. Traders are betting on whether Bitcoin will touch or fall below specific price levels—such as the $60,000 threshold tracked on Kalshi—by the end of 2026. The outcome is binary: either Bitcoin reaches that level or it does not. Settlement occurs after the resolution date based on verified price data.

Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy shifts, inflation data, geopolitical crises, and regulatory announcements affecting crypto adoption. Bitcoin's correlation with traditional markets, macroeconomic recessions, and large liquidation cascades can trigger sharp downside moves. Institutional adoption or rejection, stablecoin regulation, and mining difficulty adjustments also influence long-term price floors. Technical support levels and on-chain metrics like exchange inflows signal capitulation risk. Market sentiment swings, altcoin contagion, and black swan events remain unpredictable drivers. Traders monitor these signals continuously to adjust their positions on whether Bitcoin will breach the $60,000 level by end of 2026.
