This market tracks the average real-time electricity price at the ERCOT West Hub over a specific week in 2026. The outcome depends on whether this average exceeds various price thresholds, reflecting potential stress or surplus in the regional power grid during that period.

Kalshi

All markets resolve based on the simple average of 15-minute real-time power prices at the ERCOT West Hub for the week ending October 30, 2026, from October 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT to October 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT. The average includes all applicable intervals, positive or negative, and is rounded to two decimal places with exact halves resolved away from zero; equality with any threshold resolves to 'No'. Trading closes on October 30, 2026 at 4:59 PM EDT, and the final interval is included. Only the first published prices are used, with later corrections considered only if accepted by the Exchange before expiration for material errors. Missing data are not filled; if at least 95% of intervals are available, the average is calculated from available prices. If less than 95% are available, the market resolves only if the available data conclusively determines the outcome; otherwise, it settles at the Exchange's last fair price. Each market has a specific price threshold, and if the average exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'.
