PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms resolve based on the official Emmy Awards winner, with Polymarket having a specific tiebreaker rule while Kalshi treats ties as a winning condition.Primary resolution logic: Official Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Emmys

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves according to the nominee who wins the 2026 Emmy award for Outstanding Variety Series
  • If no winner is declared by October 31, 2026, Polymarket resolves in favor of the nominee which comes first in alphabetical order
  • Kalshi resolves to Yes for any nominated winner including ties

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • No Declaration: If no winner is declared by October 31, 2026, Polymarket resolves to the alphabetically first nominee, while Kalshi markets resolve based on their specific conditions
  • Tie: Polymarket resolves to the alphabetically first nominee, while Kalshi resolves to Yes for the Tie market
Timing: Resolution occurs after the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony on September 14, 2026, with a deadline of October 31, 2026 for official declarationOur PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, given by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, honor the best in American prime time television programming aired between June 1, 2025, until May 31, 2026. The awards ceremony is scheduled for September 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California This market will resolve according to the nominee who wins the 2026 Emmy award for “Outstanding variety series”. If for any reason no winner is declared by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or in case of overall cancellation or a tie for winner, this market will resolve in favor of the nominee which comes first in alphabetical order. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Emmys, including data from their websites (e.g. https://theemmys.tv/, https://www.televisionacademy.com/) and the live broadcast of the award ceremony, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Kalshi

The event resolves to Yes if any of the specified shows — The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Saturday Night Live — or a Tie wins the Outstanding Variety Series award at the 78th Emmy Awards. Each show represents a distinct contender in this category, reflecting the competitive landscape of television variety programming. A Tie outcome is also considered a valid resolution scenario, acknowledging the possibility of shared honors among nominees as determined by the voting process. The resolution depends solely on the official Emmy Awards results for this specific category.
