Intro

This market tracks which artist will rank as the #1 most-streamed performer in the United States on Spotify's 2026 Wrapped chart. Across Kalshi and Polymarket, the aggregated consensus shows Drake at 79.0% probability of claiming the top spot, with Sabrina Carpenter at 15.7% as the second-leading outcome. Resolution will be determined by the Official Spotify Wrapped 2026 report, typically released in early December 2026 via Spotify's official newsroom and wrapped.spotify.com. Watch for Spotify's official announcement of the 2026 Wrapped rankings, expected in early December 2026, which will settle all markets.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms measure the same underlying event: which artist Spotify officially designates as the #1 most-streamed artist in the US for 2026. All named-artist markets across both platforms resolve identically based on this single fact.Primary resolution logic: Official Spotify Wrapped 2026 report, typically released in early December 2026, published via Spotify's official newsroom and wrapped.spotify.com

Core resolution logic:

  • Resolution occurs on the date Spotify releases its official 2026 Wrapped report identifying the #1 most-streamed artist in the US
  • The named artist whose name matches Spotify's #1 ranking resolves to YES; all other named-artist markets resolve to NO
  • If multiple artists tie for #1 on Spotify's official report, Polymarket applies alphabetical tiebreaker; Kalshi does not specify a tiebreaker procedure
  • Polymarket includes an 'Other' market and fallback to 'Other' if Spotify does not publish by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET; Kalshi does not address non-publication
  • Only one artist can be #1, so across all named-artist markets in the group, exactly one will resolve YES and all others NO

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Tie for #1 Artist: Polymarket explicitly resolves ties by alphabetical order of artist name. Kalshi does not address ties; in practice, Spotify's methodology typically produces a single #1 ranking, but if a tie occurs, Kalshi's resolution procedure is undefined and may require manual adjudication.
  • Spotify Does Not Publish 2026 Wrapped: Polymarket resolves to 'Other' if Spotify does not publish by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET. Kalshi does not specify a fallback; resolution would likely be delayed or require platform discretion.
  • Artist Name Variation or Rebranding: If an artist changes their official name between now and 2026 (e.g., Kanye West / Ye), Spotify's official report will use the name as listed in their 2026 Wrapped. Markets should resolve based on Spotify's exact naming in the official report.
  • Polymarket Placeholder Artists: Polymarket includes 25 placeholder markets (Artist 2 through Artist 35) with no artist names specified. These cannot resolve YES unless Spotify's #1 artist happens to be one of the 11 named artists (Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Drake, The Weeknd, Morgan Wallen, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga). If the #1 artist is not among these 11, the 'another artist' market resolves YES and all named markets resolve NO.
  • Kalshi vs. Polymarket Artist Roster Mismatch: Kalshi lists 16 named artists; Polymarket lists 11 named artists plus 25 placeholders. Only 10 artists appear on both rosters (Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Drake, The Weeknd, Morgan Wallen, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan, Beyoncé). Kalshi includes Harry Styles, Ella Langley, Djo, BTS, Kanye West/Ye, and Zach Bryan; Polymarket includes Lady Gaga. If the #1 artist is one of Kalshi's unique 6, Polymarket's 'another artist' market resolves YES.
Timing: Resolution occurs on the date Spotify officially releases its 2026 Wrapped report (typically early December 2026). Polymarket has a hard deadline of January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET for publication; if Spotify does not publish by then, Polymarket resolves to 'Other'. Kalshi does not specify a deadline. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

Spotify releases an annual report of its most streamed artist (see: https://newsroom.spotify.com/2025-12-03/wrapped-top-artists-songs-albums-podcasts-audiobooks/). If Spotify does not release who their top artist in the US for 2026 is by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". Frequently asked questions

The top US artist race aggregates prediction market activity across Polymarket and Kalshi, tracking which artist will lead US streaming and cultural metrics in 2026. Traders on both venues are pricing their conviction about who will emerge as America's dominant musical force by year-end. This market reflects real-time consensus from thousands of participants, with combined volume of $1,078,000 across both platforms. The dashboard surfaces leading outcomes, odds shifts, and trading momentum to help you monitor how the prediction community views the competitive landscape among top contenders.

Prediction markets operate on direct financial incentive: traders who forecast correctly profit, while incorrect bets lose money. This mechanism often produces more accurate and timely signals than traditional analyst reports, which may lag real-world shifts in streaming data, chart performance, and cultural momentum. Markets also aggregate dispersed information from millions of data points—social media trends, tour announcements, album releases—into a single price. While analyst consensus tends to be sticky and slow-moving, this market updates continuously as new information emerges, making it a dynamic alternative to static year-end predictions.

Polymarket currently favors Will Drake be the top artist in the US for 2026? at 79.5%, while Kalshi leans toward Will Drake be the #1 most streamed Artist on the 2026 Spotify Wrapped Top 10 Artist U.S chart on the date that the chart is released for 2026? at 81.0%. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences arise because each platform attracts distinct trader demographics, operates under different fee structures, and may frame the outcome slightly differently—such as Spotify Wrapped rankings versus broader US chart dominance. Liquidity depth and recent trading activity also vary between venues. These gaps create arbitrage opportunities and reflect genuine disagreement about which artist will ultimately top the rankings by year-end.

This market resolves around Dec 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The specific resolution criteria depend on each platform's framework—whether it references official Spotify Wrapped data, Billboard year-end charts, or other widely recognized industry benchmarks. Once the 2026 year-end rankings are published and independently verified, the market will settle in favor of whichever artist meets the predetermined threshold. Both platforms will honor their respective outcome definitions, ensuring traders receive payouts based on the actual result.

Major album releases, surprise chart debuts, and streaming milestones will drive significant repricing throughout 2026. Grammy nominations, viral moments, and tour announcements can shift cultural momentum overnight. Collaborations with other top artists, radio dominance, and international crossover success all feed into year-end rankings. Additionally, competitor exits—such as an artist taking a hiatus or releasing less frequently—can reshape the competitive field. Real-time streaming data releases, quarterly chart updates, and media coverage of the race itself will keep odds fluid. Watch for unexpected genre shifts or emerging challengers that could disrupt current frontrunner positioning.
