This event group tracks whether Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) stock price will reach specified high or low thresholds during the week of August 24, 2026. Markets resolve based on intraday price action during regular trading hours, using Pyth data as the primary source.

Core resolution logic:

  • Market resolves to "Yes" if any 1-minute candle during regular trading hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) in the week of August 24, 2026 shows a price equal to or beyond the listed threshold
  • Only prices during regular trading hours count — pre-market and after-hours prices are excluded
  • Prices are taken from Pyth without rounding; corporate actions (splits etc) are adjusted for in Pyth data
  • If Pyth data is unavailable due to technical issues, official daily high/low prices from the primary exchange will be used

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Corporate Actions: Any stock splits or similar actions during the period will be accounted for through Pyth's split-adjusted prices
  • Pyth Outage: If Pyth data is unavailable for the entire week, resolution will use the official daily high/low prices published by the primary exchange

Opinion

An "↑" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "High" for Google (GOOGL) is at or above the price specified in the market at any point inside the window; an "↓" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "Low" is at or below the specified price. Boundary touches count. Markets whose level is never reached before the deadline resolve "No". In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Google (GOOGL), these markets resolve on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in each market is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Google (GOOGL) daily price data available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/. If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Google (GOOGL) trades governs.
