This event group determines the performance of the Hang Seng Index (HSI) around August 3, 2026. One market assesses whether the HSI will be up or down on August 3 compared to the prior trading day, while the other set of markets evaluates whether the HSI reaches various threshold levels at any point during August 2026.
This market will resolve to "Up" if the official Hang Seng Index closing price for Hang Seng (HSI) on Monday, August 3, 2026 is higher than the official Hang Seng Index closing price for HSI on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the official Hang Seng Index closing price for Hang Seng (HSI) on Monday, August 3, 2026 is lower than the official Hang Seng Index closing price for HSI on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Note that all figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. If HSI does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. If either of the relevant days are shortened (for example, due to a market holiday schedule), the official closing price published by Hang Seng Index for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If either of the relevant days have no official closing price (for example, due to a trading halt into the market close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. The resolution source for this market is the Wall Street Journal, specifically the Close values published by the WSJ under "Historical Prices". The markets resolve based on the performance of the Hang Seng Index (HSI) during the period from August 2, 2026, to August 31, 2026. For each market, if the HSI reaches or exceeds the specified threshold level at any single point during this timeframe, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Data for the HSI is sourced from Trading View and used in its native currency and units without conversion. The index level only needs to touch the threshold once during the period; sustained levels are not required. Post-expiration revisions to the underlying data are disregarded. If no data is available for the entire evaluation period by the expiration date, all markets except those explicitly labeled "No data" or "None" resolve to No. All index levels are evaluated to two decimal places unless otherwise stated.
