Description

This group forecasts the winner of the Album of the Year award at the 69th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 7, 2027. The markets allow users to bet on specific albums winning the award, or in the case of Polymarket, a general 'another album' option. Resolution hinges on official Grammy nominations and the ultimate winner announcement.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi markets resolve on nomination, while Polymarket resolves on the winner. Polymarket also includes placeholder albums not present on Kalshi.Hero tip: Consider the difference between a nomination and a win when evaluating market prices. The presence of placeholder albums on Polymarket introduces additional uncertainty and the possibility of an 'Other' outcome.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves to 'Yes' if the specified album wins Album of the Year. Includes a question for 'another album' winning, and numerous placeholder albums. "If an album is not officially nominated for Album of the Year when the 69th Annual GRAMMY Awards nominees are announced, the corresponding market will immediately resolve to "No".
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if the specified album is nominated for Album of the Year. "If The Romantic has been nominated for Album of the Year at the 69th Grammy Awards, then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

The GRAMMY Awards are presented annually by the Recording Academy. For the 69th Annual GRAMMY Awards, nominations are scheduled for November 16, 2026, and the ceremony for February 7, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed album that wins Album of the Year at the 69th Annual GRAMMY Awards. If an album is not officially nominated for Album of the Year when the 69th Annual GRAMMY Awards nominees are announced, the corresponding market will immediately resolve to "No". In case of a tie for the winner, this market will resolve in favor of the nominated album whose listed title comes first in alphabetical order. If, for any reason, no winner is declared by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be the television broadcast of the awards and the Grammy website (https://www.grammy.com/); however, other credible reporting may be used.

Kalshi

The market resolves to Yes if any of the specified albums receive a nomination for Album of the Year at the 69th Grammy Awards. Each album is evaluated independently; a Yes resolution requires confirmation that at least one album has been officially nominated in this category by the Recording Academy. The Album of the Year category encompasses all musical genres and represents the most comprehensive recognition of artistic achievement at the Grammy Awards.

Both sources of information can be useful when forming an opinion.

The final price will reflect the probability of each artist winning as assessed by the market.

Several signals could significantly impact this market. Major album releases from potential contenders, critical acclaim, and commercial success (sales and streaming numbers) will all be closely watched. Award nominations leading up to the Grammys, such as those from other prominent award shows, can also shift probabilities. Unexpected events, like an artist announcing a tour or a significant media appearance, could also influence trading activity. Finally, any news regarding eligibility or potential controversies surrounding an artist or album could cause fluctuations in this market.
