This group forecasts the Chicago Bears' win total for the 2026 NFL regular season. Markets exist for exceeding various win thresholds, ranging from 1 to 17 wins, and also for exceeding thresholds of 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.5, and 11.5 wins.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team's regular season win total exceeds the listed number. Otherwise this market will resolve to "No". Only official regular-season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. Only played games resulting in a win will count toward this total. If the listed team plays fewer games than scheduled due to cancellation, weather, forfeit, or any other reason, only actual wins recorded count toward the total; canceled or unplayed games do not count as wins. If the 2026 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after February 15, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many wins the listed team recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be official NFL records (https://www.nfl.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Resolution is determined by the total number of regular season wins accumulated by the Chicago Pro Football team during the 2026-27 season. Each threshold from 1 through 17 wins represents a separate resolution point. A Yes resolution occurs if the team achieves at least the specified number of wins for that particular threshold. For example, the 5-win threshold resolves Yes if Chicago wins 5 or more games; the 12-win threshold resolves Yes if Chicago wins 12 or more games. The final win total determines which thresholds resolve affirmatively and which resolve negatively. All resolutions are based on official regular season records and do not include playoff games.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market relies on individuals wagering their own capital based on their beliefs. Consequently, discrepancies can emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. These differences can be particularly noticeable for events with a high degree of uncertainty, like projecting a football team's win total several seasons in advance. Tracking both can provide a more nuanced understanding of potential outcomes.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, all of which can influence price discovery. Differences in liquidity – the amount of volume available – can also lead to price discrepancies. Furthermore, the specific contract designs on each platform, such as the available outcomes and margin requirements, can attract different types of traders and impact how the market prices risk. These factors contribute to the independent price formation seen across prediction markets.
This market resolves around Feb 16, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final win total for the Chicago Bears in the 2026 NFL season, as officially recorded by the NFL, will determine the result. The resolution will be based on the team’s regular season record, including any wins achieved through overtime. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of whether the market resolves in favor of over or under a specific win threshold.
Numerous events could significantly impact this market. Major player acquisitions or departures, coaching changes, or even significant injuries to key players would all likely cause shifts in the odds. Preseason performance and early-season results could also provide valuable signals, influencing traders’ expectations. Broader NFL trends, such as rule changes or the competitive landscape of the NFC North, could also play a role. Any news that alters perceptions of the Bears’ potential for success will likely be reflected in the trading volume and price action of this market.
