This market tracks the probability of the New Orleans Saints achieving the NFC’s #1 seed for the 2027 NFL Playoffs. Currently, the consensus probability across Kalshi and Polymarket is 95.0% that they will. Resolution will be based on Official NFL standings (https://www.nfl.com/standings) at the conclusion of the regular season, applying NFL tie-breaking procedures. Keep an eye on the final regular season games scheduled for January 10, 2027, as those results will directly determine the NFC #1 seed and resolve this market.
This market will resolve according to the team that receives the number 1 seed in the National Football Conference (NFC) for the 2027 NFL Playoffs, based on the final standings of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed team to receive the number 1 seed in the NFC for the 2027 NFL Playoffs, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are tied for the best regular season record in the NFC, this market will resolve in favor of the team that is officially awarded the number 1 seed under the NFL's tie-breaking procedures, available here: https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 24, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the number 1 seed in the NFC has not been officially determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL (https://www.nfl.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The NFC #1 seed is determined by which team holds the best regular season record at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 Pro Football regular season. The #1 seed designation is awarded to a single team based on standard NFL playoff seeding criteria, which prioritizes win-loss record and applicable tiebreakers. This market resolves to Yes for whichever NFC team achieves the #1 seed position.

However, sportsbooks may offer different types of wagers or react more quickly to breaking news, creating a 50.3 difference in implied probabilities.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for this market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading rules, and liquidity, which can lead to differing opinions and price discovery. For example, Polymarket might attract more sophisticated traders, while Kalshi could have a broader range of participants. Additionally, differing trading fees and market-making incentives can influence price levels. The volume of trading on each platform also plays a role; higher volume generally leads to tighter spreads and more efficient pricing.
